On the night of February 1, soldiers of the special unit Group 13 of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine destroyed the missile boat “Ivanovets” of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the press officer of the GUR on Thursday.
The enemy ship was on the roadway of Lake Donuzlav in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
“As a result of a series of direct hits to the hull, the Russian ship suffered damage incompatible with further movement – the “Ivanovets” capsized to the stern and sank,” the report says.
It is indicated that the value of the ship lost by the aggressor state is approximately $60-70 million.
“The search and rescue operation of the Russian occupiers on the Donuzlav, according to preliminary information, was not successful,” added the GUR.
Intelligence officers released a video of the destruction of the Russian ship. Judging by the footage, it was attacked by naval drones. “Ivanovets” tried to shoot back, but it did not help him.
