Ukrainian drivers blocked roads in Polish cities as a sign of protest against blocking the border

Українські водії перекрили дороги у польських містах на знак протесту проти блокування кордону

In the Polish cities of Przemyśl and Medyka on November 28, several dozen Ukrainian drivers blocked the roads as a sign of protest against the blocking of border crossing points.

At the entrance to Przemyśl and in Medyka, which is a border town, about 30 Ukrainian drivers go to the pedestrian crossing, actually blocking traffic.

The Przemyśl police told RMF FM that law enforcement officers are at the scene, the protests are taking place peacefully, and their initiators do not hide that this is a response to the blocking by Polish transporters of the passage of Ukrainian freight trucks.

The new Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland, Anna Gembicka, was supposed to meet with Polish carriers at the border in Medica on Tuesday evening.

As it is known, since November 6, a protest action by Polish carriers has been going on at three border crossing points between Poland and Ukraine, allowing several cars per hour. Last week, the blockade of another checkpoint began – “Medyka – Sheghini”.
