On Tuesday, July 25, the court chose a measure of restraint for the former head of the Odessa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCC) Yevgeny Borisov. He was sent into custody for two months with the opportunity to post bail in the amount of 150 million hryvnia.

The investigation found that during martial law in Ukraine, the suspect’s family members purchased premium cars and real estate in the Kingdom of Spain for a total amount of more than 151 million hryvnias, although the family’s official total income does not cover such expenses.

In early December 2022, the suspect was discharged from the military hospital and did not appear for military service for more than two weeks without good reason.

In the second half of December 2022, the official, in the absence of foreign treatment prescribed for him by the Ministry of Health, left the country. Together with his family members, he spent almost a month in the Republic of Moldova, Turkey in the Seychelles and the Kingdom of Spain.

Recall that Yevgeny Borisov during the court session complained about his state of health after numerous injuries. He also claims that he “may die.”

As you know, on June 28, Evgeny Borisov was dismissed from his post. This happened after a high-profile scandal: journalists discovered millions of euros worth of his family’s property in Spain. Real estate and expensive cars were already acquired during a full-scale war.

Later, law enforcement officers detained the former head of the Odessa Regional Territorial Center for Acquisition and Social Support.
