In September 2021, 145 new and 748 used vehicles on battery power sources received their first registration numbers in Ukraine.
September set a record for the number of new electric vehicles registered in one month.
The previous record was recorded in August, when Ukrainian license plates received 144 new BEVs.
Compared to last year’s figure, September demand for new electric vehicles has grown two and a half times, and for used cars – by 18%.
The most popular electric car among the new cars is the Nissan Leaf. In September, 28 new cars of this brand received Ukrainian registration. The second result was shown by Hyundai Ioniq – 12 registrations. The electric Nissan Sylphy became the third most popular – 11 buyers.
The most popular used electric car remains the Nissan Leaf. In September, 174 used cars of this model were added to the Ukrainian vehicle fleet.
Tesla Model 3 is in second place with 95 registrations. Renault Zoe took third place with 48 registrations.
In just nine months from the beginning of the year, almost 6.1 thousand vehicles on battery power supplies passed the first registration in Ukraine, which is 7% more than in the same period in 2020.
The share of used vehicles in this amount was 88% against 92% a year earlier.
