Ukraine began to produce artillery systems according to NATO standards and doubled the production of ammunition. This was stated by the Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin at a press conference in Davos on Wednesday, January 17.

“Now we are going through the unique experience of transitioning from the standards of the Soviet legacy to NATO standards and have already started producing artillery systems according to NATO standards… We have managed to double the production of ammunition. This is what we should pay the most attention to,” Kamyshin said.

According to him, the need for missing components will be covered by joint ventures with foreign partners.

“Not enough components, not enough explosives. Therefore, we should pay attention to joint production with European and American companies. I am sure: joint efforts will yield appropriate results,” the minister said.

In addition, according to Kamyshin, the production of drones is developing rapidly in Ukraine, and the costs have decreased significantly: in particular, for the production of FPV drones, they have fallen from $1,000 to $500. And the cheapest drones produced in Ukraine cost $300.
