It is based on a strategic course towards acquiring full membership in the EU and NATO.

Resistance to Russia, ensuring the independence and state sovereignty of Ukraine, and restoring its territorial integrity were also named priorities.

Other areas include promoting Ukrainian exports and attracting foreign investment, protecting the rights and interests of Ukrainian citizens abroad, and establishing a positive image of the country in the world.

Ukraine is also focused on effective international cooperation in the fight against terrorism, crime, illegal migration, cyber threats, as well as responsible cooperation on disarmament issues, countering the negative consequences of climate change.

On July 30, the NSDC adopted a strategy for Ukraine’s foreign policy.

Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba then called it a “historical event.” According to him, the country for the first time received a clear, understandable and meaningful Strategy of foreign policy.
