This was announced on Monday, May 17, by the head of Ukrposhta Igor Smelyansky.
“We have been going to this for four long years. And when the decision is approved by all parties, Ukrposhta begins the process of acquiring the bank,” he wrote.
Smelyansky clarified that the acquired bank will be small, without branches or with a small number of branches. The bank should not have a portfolio of problem assets.
According to him, up to three potential banks for purchase are currently being considered. Negotiations will begin soon with them.
