On March 23, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of March 11 on the return of Motor Sich PJSC to state ownership.

This is stated in Decree No. 108/2021.

So, the NSDC decision of March 11, 2021 “On the status of implementation of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of March 1, 2018” On urgent measures to protect the national interests of the state in the field of aircraft engines “came into force.

Earlier, at a briefing following the NSDC meeting, NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov stated that “an appropriate decision has been made – according to this decision, the Motor Sich enterprise will be returned to the Ukrainian people, will be returned to the ownership of the Ukrainian state in a legal, constitutional way in the near future.”

At the meeting, the NSDC made a decision to return Motor Sich PJSC to the state ownership “in a legal way in the near future”, people who invested in the enterprise will receive compensation.

The head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, said that the parliament would soon register a bill on the nationalization of Motor Sich PJSC.

Servant of the People is discussing and working out the text of a bill on the nationalization of Motor Sich PJSC, said Alexander Kornienko, deputy head of the Servant of the People faction.

The Chinese investor Motor Sich called the statements of the Ukrainian authorities about the possible nationalization of the enterprise inadmissible and threatened with new lawsuits.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine received a note from the Chinese government about the introduction of sanctions by the NSDC against Chinese investors in Motor Sich, ZN.UA reported on February 1, the information was confirmed by EP sources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, by his decree, put into effect the NSDC decision of January 28, 2021, which provides for the application of special economic sanctions against Chinese investors in Motor Sich.

The National Commission for Securities and Stock Market did not record any signs of lawful activity to convene and intend to hold a general meeting of Motor Sich Joint Stock Company.
