Since Christmas according to the Gregorian calendar (December 25) falls on Friday and is a public holiday, Ukrainians will rest for three days in a row (December 25-27).
New Year will come on Friday night, so January 1-3, 2021 will also be a weekend.
Julian Christmas (January 7) is also a public holiday and falls on Thursday.
The government moved the working day from Friday, January 8, 2021 to Saturday, January 16, 2021. Thus, Ukrainians will be able to rest for four days in a row, from 7 to 10 January inclusive.
