Airstrike in Sumy kills 21 people

As a result of an air strike on Sumy on the night of Tuesday, March 8, 19 adults and 2 children were killed, and a pre-trial investigation was launched. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The case was opened on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, Russian troops, violating the rules of warfare, on March 7 at about 10:35 pm carried out an airstrike on the residential sector of the street. Romanskaya and st. Spartak city of Sumy. As a result of the bombardment, one building was completely destroyed, 16 were partially destroyed. Previously, during the inspection at the place of the airstrike, as of 7 am, 21 people were found dead, including 2 children. The number of victims is being established.
