Adaptive quarantine extended until the end of the year

The government has decided to extend the adaptive quarantine in Ukraine until December 31. This was announced on Monday, September 20, according to the press service of the Ministry of Health.

At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on September 20, a decision was made to extend the adaptive quarantine and emergency regime until December 31, 2021.

The head of the Ministry of Health, Viktor Lyashko, said that the epidemic situation in the country was under control.

“Yes, we are recording an increase in the number of new cases of COVID, but thanks to vaccination we have a margin of safety. The medical system is ready to respond to the new wave, but the best way to preserve your life and health is to be vaccinated against coronavirus infection at the earliest opportunity, ”he said.

He also said that tomorrow a meeting of the TEB and ES commission will take place, where a “yellow” zone of adaptive quarantine will be established.

This will include the following restrictions:

  • it will be forbidden to hold mass events with the participation of more than one person per 4 sq. m of the area of ​​the territory or the fullness of the halls for more than two-thirds of the seats;
  • no more than 4 people at a table in a catering establishment, and the distance between tables is at least 1.5 meters;
  • cinemas and other cultural institutions operate with less than two-thirds of the seats or 50% of seats occupied;
  • gyms and fitness centers will work only if the number of visitors is limited at the rate of one person per 10 sq. m area and the like.

At the same time, the yellow level restrictions do not apply if all participants (visitors) and at least 80% of organizers of public events, employees of cafes and restaurants, cinemas, theaters, museums or other cultural institutions, gyms and swimming pools have at least one vaccination or valid (72 hours) result of PCR or express testing.
