The cost of the modernized cars is about 17 million hryvnia, and the new ones – 20 million.
JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” at the exhibition of rolling stock in Kiev on Friday, August 27, presented the repaired and new second-class cars.
According to the presented prototype, in the updated cars, the side seats were fenced off with a special curtain, and an outlet, a lamp and a special opening for fresh air supply – a mini-air conditioner – were installed near each seat.
In addition, special screens with a button to call the conductor will appear in reserved seat compartments, which will also show the speed of the train and a map of the area.
The cost of the modernized cars is about 17 million hryvnia, and the new ones – 20 million. Tentatively, they will be put into operation in two to three years. However, their concept may still change.
