The Ministry of Internal Affairs explains that for the lack of a mask in public places of the “red” zone, will be fined persistent violators who will not respond to the remarks of law enforcement officers.
“The work of law enforcement officers will have, first of all, a preventive and explanatory mission. Of course, the primary task will be to convey to people why adhering to the mask regime is extremely important both for their own safety and the safety of the health and life of those around them. Everyone should be aware of their own responsibility,” said Yaroslav Trakalo, deputy director of the Interior Ministry’s media communications department.
When asked whether additional police forces will be involved to monitor violations, Trakalo noted that patrols are constantly present in the streets, they monitor the observance of order and now, accordingly, they will make remarks to citizens without masks.
Vicious violators who will not agree to wear a mask will be issued on the spot protocols on a fine of 170 hryvnia, or a decision on a fine of 17 thousand, if the violation is recorded in public transport or a government institution.

- Later, the Ministry of Health noted that the requirement to wear masks in public places of the “red” zones concerns only for non-observance of social distance.
