The Lviv Armored Plant, a part of State Concern Ukroboronprom, handed over a new batch of 10 modernized T-64 and T-72 tanks to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

“The tanks underwent major repairs and deep modernization. We took into account all the wishes of the customer. The equipment was delivered in full combat readiness. It is equipped with state-of-the-art communication and fire control systems, day and night vision devices, rear view cameras, grenade-launching smoke screen systems and dynamic protection from high-explosive hollow charges,” said the plant’s director Viktor Androshchuk, the press service of Ukroboronprom informs.

As noted, the plant continues to send on-site repair crews to the Joint Forces Operation area and to the locations of armored vehicles. Over two months of this year, 12 combat vehicles were restored. The day before, on March 16, ten of them were handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

At the end of February 2021, the Kyiv Armored Plant overhauled five T-72 tanks and handed them over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
