In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have achieved success in the area of Andreevka, Kleshchievka and Bakhmut. The head of the press service of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ilya Yevlash, reported this in a comment to the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
“Our defenders continue to drive out enemies and gain a foothold in new positions. The enemy carried out 504 attacks in this direction, using various rocket systems, multiple launch rocket systems, artillery systems, and cannon systems. He also actively uses mortars, tanks, and various types of grenade launchers,” said Yev.
The speaker said that eight clashes took place in this direction, during which 242 enemy fighters were eliminated and one Russian was captured.
Ukrainian fighters managed to destroy 10 tanks of different types, four armored fighting vehicles, one infantry fighting vehicle and one MT-LB, one MSTA-S gun, one MSTA-B gun, a 152-mm D-20 gun and two D-30 guns, a 100 anti-tank gun -mm MT-12 Rapier and six vehicles that supplied ammunition, four ammunition depots and one Leer-2 electronic warfare system.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces used MANPADS to hit the ZALA and Orlan UAVs, and 17 FPV drones were destroyed.
“The situation in the zone of responsibility of the Eastern Group of Forces continues to be monitored by the Ukrainian Defense Forces,” Yevlash emphasized.
