First restoration projects approved in Ukraine

The government will allocate UAH 6.6 billion. from the Fund for Eliminating the Consequences of Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation for 159 projects for the restoration of housing and infrastructure in Zhytomyr, Zaporozhye, Kiev, Nikolaev, Odessa, Sumy, Kharkiv and Kherson regions. This was announced on Sunday, June 18, by the press service of the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development.

Within the framework of these projects, it is planned to build, reconstruct and emergency-recovery work of apartment buildings, medical institutions, schools and kindergartens, utility infrastructure facilities, as well as the construction of civil protection structures.

“The first list of projects receiving funding from the Liquidation Fund has been formed,” the ministry said.

The working group has already considered 377 proposals of the applicants, summarized by the Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Zaporozhye, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kiev, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Poltava, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Kherson, Cherkasy, Chernihiv and Chernivtsi regions.

The total cost of projects submitted for consideration amounted to UAH 17.9 billion.
