In January-April 2023, Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises produced 1.81 million tons of steel, which is 46% of the volume of the indicator for the previous year (3.93 million tons).
It is noted that 1.75 million tons of pig iron were produced in the four months of 2023 (46% compared to the same period last year).
And the production of rolled products decreased to 1.51 million tons against 3.44 million tons a year earlier, that is, by 56%.
