The court arrested another assets of the wife of Viktor Medvedchuk Oksana Marchenko. These are two land plots with real estate objects with a total value of about UAH 17.5 million, the SBU reports on Wednesday morning, April 5.
“These allotments are located in one of the most prestigious tourist areas of the Lviv region. There, Medvedchuk’s wife organized the illegal construction of a hotel complex. It has been established that Marchenko received the relevant land areas as a result of an illegal transaction with real estate,” the message says.
According to the intelligence service, the former head of the regional department of land resources was involved in illegal activities. During 2004-2010, he entered false information into the reporting documentation for the issuance of state acts on the ownership of land in favor of Oksana Marchenko.
The ex-official has already been informed of the suspicion under the articles on abuse of power or official position, official forgery (part 2 of article 364, part 2 of article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The case materials have been sent to the court.
The SBU recalled that in August last year, they initiated the arrest of three land plots in the Lviv region, which Marchenko illegally owned.
