Meteorological spring has arrived in Kyiv, with a slight delay, according to the Boris Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory.
“Starting from March 7, according to observations from the meteorological station of the Central Geophysical Observatory named after Boris Sreznevsky, the average daily air temperature has consistently exceeded 0°C,” the observatory said.
Forecasters specify that the meteorological spring came to Kyiv six days later than predicted.
“The winter, which began on November 17 and ended on March 6, lasted 110 days, which is two weeks more than the long-term average,” the message says.
Earlier it was reported that the last month of winter in the capital was warmer than the climatic norm, but did not update a single temperature record, and Kiev January was among the ten warmest in 140 years.
