Over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled more than 85 enemy attacks in the Kupyansky, Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Shakhtyorsky directions. This was announced on March 3 by the General Staff in the morning summary.
On the Volynsky, Polessky, Seversky and Slobozhansky directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.
In the Kupyansky and Limansky directions, the troops of the Russian Federation conducted offensive operations in the areas of Belogorovka, Luhansk region and Disputed Donetsk region, but were not successful.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy does not stop storming the city of Bakhmut. Ukrainian defenders repelled attacks in the areas of Orekhovo-Vasilovka, Dubovo-Vasilovka, Grigorovka, Bogdanovka and Bakhmut of the Donetsk region.
On the Avdeevka and Shakhtyorsk directions, the enemy continues to unsuccessfully attack the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In all these directions, as well as in Zaporozhye and Kherson, the army of the Russian Federation fired at peaceful cities and villages from various types of weapons. In total, over the past day, the Russian invaders launched 31 air and three missile strikes, in particular, on civilian infrastructure in the Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. In addition, 88 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems were recorded.
“There are wounded among the civilian population, residential and private houses are damaged… The threat of enemy missile strikes is significant throughout Ukraine,” the General Staff stressed.
Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation inflicted 13 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the occupiers. An enemy Su-25 attack aircraft, a Mi-24 helicopter and seven UAVs (one of the Superkam type, two of the Orlan and four of the Lancet) were shot down.
The rocket and artillery units hit six enemy concentration areas and their ammunition.
