Ukraine terminated several agreements with the Russian Federation, Belarus and the CIS

On February 28, Ukraine terminated some agreements with the Russian Federation, Belarus and the CIS in the area of the state border. This was announced by the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk.

It is reported that the agreement between the governments of Ukraine and the Russian Federation on cooperation and interaction in the development of checkpoints across the Ukrainian-Russian state border has been terminated. The agreement was signed on October 18, 2011 in Donetsk.

The agreement between the governments of Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus on organizing joint control at checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Belarusian state border has also been terminated. This agreement was signed on December 14, 1995 in Kyiv.

Ukraine also withdrew from the agreement on preferential supplies to the border troops of the Commonwealth member states of special equipment of border troops and other materiel, the agreement was signed on 09/09/1994 in Moscow.
