The United States will give Ukraine GPS-guided long-range bombs capable of hitting targets at a distance of 72 km.
Bloomberg writes that the Pentagon has not officially announced that it is sending a modified version of the Boeing Joint Direct Attack Munition to Ukraine, only saying on December 21 that it is providing “precision aviation munitions”, which are included in $1.85 billion in aid.
However, two people with knowledge of the matter confirmed to the agency that they were long-range JDAM bombs known as JDAM-ER. They can hit targets at a distance of 72 km (45 miles). The production of such ammunition is carried out by Boeing.
It is noted that on January 20, Boeing received an order for JDAM from the US Air Force in the amount of $40.5 million.
