Zelensky appoints heads of three OVAs

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees on the appointment of heads of regional military administrations in Kherson, Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Sergey Lysak became the new head of the Dnepropetrovsk region.

The Zaporozhye OVA was headed by Yuriy Malashko, and the Kherson OVA was headed by Alexander Prokudin.

Serhiy Lysak is an employee of the Security Service of Ukraine. Since 2020, he headed the SBU department in the Zhytomyr region. On July 19, 2022, President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Lysak to the post of head of the SBU in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Alexander Prokudin is a native of Nikolaev. Since 2000, he worked in the internal affairs bodies. From 2019 to February 2022, he was the head of the Main Directorate of the National Police of the Kherson region. In this position, he was removed several times. Prokudin was connected with an entrepreneur, the current mayor of Kherson, Igor Kolykhaev.

On January 24, President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed the heads of the Kherson, Sumy, Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regional state administrations.

The heads of the Kyiv and Sumy Regional State Administrations have not yet been appointed.
