The European Union supported the Ukrainian formula for peace and will work on the implementation of 10 points of this initiative. The President of the European Council Charles Michel said this at the end of the 24th Ukraine-EU Summit in Kyiv on Friday, February 3.
“The EU and Ukraine have a common goal – to end this war, which will be based on respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. And that is why we support the Ukrainian formula for peace. We will work together with you, with Ukraine, on the implementation of the 10 points, as well as on the summit on the initiative,” Michel said at a press conference with the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
He assured that the European Union will be there to restore a prosperous Ukraine.
“There will be no secure and independent Europe without a secure and independent Ukraine. Ukraine is the EU, the EU is Ukraine. Let’s let it happen. Glory to Ukraine!” said the head of the European Council.
