People’s Deputy Mykola Tyshchenko left Ukraine in accordance with the border crossing rules in force today. This was reported on Thursday, January 26 by Ukrinform with reference to the State Border Service.

“The government should develop changes to the NSDC decision within five days. And now the passage of citizens across the border is carried out exclusively within the framework of the norms of the legislation of Ukraine, which regulates the Rules for crossing the border and which are in force at the time of crossing the border by a person,” the press service of the border department said.

They recalled that the National Security and Defense Council had previously decided to ban officials from traveling abroad, according to which they would be allowed to cross the borders of Ukraine only for official purposes. President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on the implementation of the relevant decision of the National Security and Defense Council on January 23. According to the decree, within five days, the Cabinet of Ministers must develop such a procedure for officials to cross the border so that only a real business trip can be the basis.

The border guards also reminded that the departure of male people’s deputies abroad is carried out according to the following documents:

in case of departure on the passport of a citizen of Ukraine to travel abroad – confirmation of the status of a People’s Deputy of Ukraine;
in case of departure on a diplomatic passport or service passport, if there are documents certifying the fact of going abroad on a business trip and confirming the status of a People’s Deputy of Ukraine.

In turn, Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk has already stated that he did not sign an order for a business trip to Thailand for Tishchenko.

“Nikolai Tishchenko did not send a business trip abroad. Accordingly, I, as Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, did not sign the order for a business trip to Thailand,” he noted.

Earlier on Thursday, it became known that Nikolai Tishchenko was in Thailand. The Embassy of Ukraine in this country reported that the people’s deputy intends to hold a meeting with the Ukrainian community to “improve interaction” in one of the hotels in Bangkok.

Also today it became known that Tishchenko was expelled from the Servant of the People party and dismissed from the post of deputy head of the faction.
