President Volodymyr Zelensky has stripped collaborators and state traitors Viktor Medvedchuk, Taras Kozak, Andriy Derkach and Renat Kuzmin from Ukrainian citizenship.
Zelensky: “Based on the materials prepared by the SBU and the State Migration Service, and in accordance with the Constitution of our state, I decided to terminate the citizenship of four people: Andriy Derkach, Taras Romanovich Kozak, Renat Ravelevich Kuzmin and Viktor Vladimirovich Medvedchuk. If people’s deputies choose to serve not the people of Ukraine, but the murderers who came to Ukraine, then our actions will be appropriate.”
According to the source of the UP, they plan to take away the mandates of people’s deputies.
Kozak is a people’s deputy of the Opposition Platform for Life, who fled to Russia even before the start of the war, because a criminal case was opened against him in Ukraine due to treason. He is involved in the coal supply scheme from the temporarily occupied territories of Donbass.
Medvedchuk is also a representative of the Opposition Platform for Life, who, after the start of a full-scale invasion and the defeat of the Russians in the Kiev region, tried to leave the country, but he was detained by Ukrainian law enforcement officers. In 2020, Medvedchuk, through Kozak, passed to Russia information about the location of a hidden unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The traitor and godfather of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin was exchanged for 200 Ukrainian prisoners. It is noteworthy that during the term of Petro Poroshenko, Medvedchuk himself dealt with the issue of exchange with the occupiers. After the exchange, the traitor was noticed in the occupied Crimea along with his wife, who fled to Russia on the eve of the invasion.
Ex-People’s Deputy Derkach, according to the SBU, led the intelligence network of the General Staff of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, which was supposed to help the enemy seize the country. Now he is wanted. The United States believes that Derkach has been an active Russian agent for more than 10 years and sanctions were imposed against him back in 2020.
Kuzmin is a people’s deputy of the Opposition Platform for Life, who was also informed of a suspicion of treason due to the publication of propaganda materials in the media. Previously, he was suspected of laundering illegally obtained property. The “deputy” made his way to the Rada-2019 after a trial. Now Kuzmina is looking for the SBI.

The Verkhovna Rada tried to adopt a resolution on the termination of the powers of all parliamentarians from the Opposition Platform for Life party, but this decision failed.
Subsequently, the presidential “Servant of the People” and “Fatherland” of Yulia Tymoshenko stated that they did not support the resolution, because the decision would be “unconstitutional”, and they want to deprive the people’s deputies of the Opposition Platform for Life of their mandates in a constitutional way.
At the end of 2022, Ukrayinska Pravda reported that now the presidential faction “Servant of the People” is systematically cooperating with the people’s deputies of the former Opposition Platform for Life to ensure decision-making in the Verkhovna Rada.
