The troops of the Russian Federation are concentrating their efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Bakhmut direction, and are also trying to improve the tactical situation in the Kupyansky, Limansky and Avdeevsky directions. This was announced on January 4 by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the morning report.
Over the past day, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled attacks by invaders in the areas of the settlements of Stelmakhovka, Belogorovka, Luhansk region and Soledar, Krasnaya Gora, Bakhmut, Mayorsk, Marinka, Novomikhailovka, Pobeda, Krasnogorovka, Donetsk region.
On the Novopavlovsk, Zaporozhye and Kherson directions, the enemy is on the defensive.
In the Volynsky, Polessky, Seversky and Slobozhansky directions, the situation is without significant changes, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, no signs of the formation of his offensive groupings were found
During the day on January 3, the enemy launched seven missile and 18 air strikes, and also carried out more than 85 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems, in particular, on the civilian infrastructure of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region, Zaporozhye and Kherson.
There are casualties among the civilian population. The threat of enemy air and missile strikes remains throughout Ukraine.
During the day, Ukrainian aviation inflicted 12 strikes on the areas of concentration of the invaders and a strike on the position of the enemy anti-aircraft missile system.
Rocketeers and artillerymen hit two command posts, five areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment, an ammunition depot and an occupiers’ UAV command post.
