The ambassadors of the EU member states unanimously agreed on a financial assistance package for Ukraine in the amount of 18 billion euros, as well as a minimum tax for large companies in the amount of 15%. This was announced on Tuesday, December 13, by the Czech Representation in the EU Council.

At the same time, Hungary was also allowed to use funds from EU funds in the amount of 5.8 billion euros if Budapest fulfills 27 preconditions.

It is noted that funding to Ukraine can go in regular tranches in the form of loans on preferential terms.

“EU ambassadors have generally agreed on an €18 billion bailout package for Ukraine, a 15% minimum corporate tax on large corporations, the approval of Hungary’s recovery and resilience plan, and a terms agreement,” the statement reads.
