Russians dig trenches in Crimea

In the north of the temporarily occupied Crimea, Russia is restoring old and digging new defensive structures. The corresponding satellite images of Planet Lab on Wednesday, November 9, were published on Twitter by OSINT analyst Benjamin Pitte.

“I think this trend will surprise you. Russia is digging new trenches in Northern Crimea,” Pitte wrote.

It is noted that Russia has resumed trenches at the Chongar checkpoint between Crimea and Kherson region. New trenches were also dug.

For comparison, the analyst published pictures taken on August 12 and October 8 (all photo-clickable).
