Ukraine is planning fan power cuts

In various regions of Ukraine, fan power outages are possible to facilitate the process of restoring the destroyed infrastructure. On October 19, the adviser to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Oleksandr Kharchenko stated this on the air of the national telethon.

“Unfortunately, according to new data, about 40% of the total infrastructure and generating capacities are seriously damaged. Restoration and repair work continues, but miracles are possible to a certain degree. Therefore, it is necessary to expect that today and tomorrow there will be not only emergency, but also planned outages so as not to overload the network,” Kharchenko noted.

According to Ukrenergo, on October 20, measures to limit consumption may be applied across Ukraine from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

“Where exactly, at what time – see on the websites of operators of distribution networks (oblenergo). The outages will be alternated – the duration of the queue is also determined by regional energy, but not more than four hours,” the message says.

Ukrainians are urged to charge their phones and stock up on water.

Earlier it was reported that 30% of Ukraine’s power plants were destroyed as a result of strikes by the Russian invaders.
