For the eighth time since the beginning of the year, the Verkhovna Rada made changes to the budget, increasing defense spending by UAH 387 billion. This was announced by People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak in Telegram on Tuesday, October 18.
According to him, 318 MPs voted for the relevant law No. 8126.
“We increased military spending this year by UAH 387 billion. The source of coverage, as usual, is internal borrowing (including “printing”),” Zheleznyak wrote.
The People’s Deputy detailed additional expenses in the following areas:
Ministry of Defense – UAH 365.2 billion
Ministry of Internal Affairs — by UAH 12.9 billion
SBU — by UAH 3.7 billion
Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense – by UAH 3.2 billion
Administration of the State Service for Special Communications — by UAH 1.3 billion
UGO — for UAH 600 million
Foreign Intelligence Service UAH 45 million
