The Ukrainian flag was raised on a stele between the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions. This was announced by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration (OVA) Pavel Kirilenko on September 20.
“Here, until recently, fierce battles were fought, and now only abandoned equipment and minefields remind of them,” he wrote.
The head of the OVA also posted relevant photos.
“Thanks to the Armed Forces, the section of the Kyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhansky highway is free from invaders, but extremely dangerous, since it is literally packed with remnants of ammunition,” Kirilenko added.
