In Uman, Cherkasy region, deputies of the city council, by their decision, set a tourist tax for foreigners in the amount of 325 hryvnia per day. It is reported by the Uman City Council.
According to the decision of the Uman city council, the payers of the tourist tax are: citizens of Ukraine; Foreigners; stateless persons who are on the territory of the Uman city territorial society of the Cherkasy region, which is subject to the decision of the city council on the establishment of a tourist tax, and temporarily accommodated in certain places of residence.
Each foreign tourist (traveler, pilgrim) is obliged to pay a tourist tax in the amount of UAH 325 per day per person.
Uman is a place of pilgrimage for the Bratslav Hasidim. This year, 10-12 thousand pilgrims are expected in Uman. New Year’s Day (Rosh Hashanah) will be celebrated on September 25-27.
