The former head of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Oleksandr Tupytsky was put on the wanted list in yet another criminal proceeding. The corresponding decision was made by the Goloseevsky District Court of Kyiv. This was reported on Tuesday, August 23, by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.

It is noted that a measure of restraint in the form of detention was chosen for the ex-official. This decision will allow the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine to petition the court for the extradition of the accused to Ukraine.

“The former Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine is accused of inciting unauthorized interference in the operation of the automated system “Treasury Client – Treasury” and complicity in such interference by the chief accountant of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine (parts 4, 5 of article 27, part 2 of article 361 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)” , the message says.

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 5 years.

On November 5, 2021, employees of the SBI, under the procedural leadership of the Office of the Prosecutor General, sent an indictment in this case to the court.

Recall that in November 2021, the court chose a preventive measure for Tupitsky – a bail of 45,000 hryvnias and ordered him to refrain from communicating with a number of witnesses in the case of knowingly giving false testimony and bribing a witness.

In April 2022, it became known that Tupitsky, the ex-head of the CCU, fled abroad. And in May, he was put on the international wanted list.
