During the current war, Ukraine must liberate its territories in the Crimea and Donbass, and the West will help with weapons and sanctions against Russia. This was stated by British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss.

She called on Western countries to help Ukraine completely withdraw Russian troops from Ukraine and said that if Russian President Vladimir Putin succeeded in achieving territorial gains, he could cause “incalculable new suffering throughout Europe.”

“This is an all-out war because a Ukrainian victory is a strategic imperative for all of us,” Truss said.

She stressed that Russian troops during the war should be expelled, including from Crimea and the Donbass “republics”.

Regarding weapons, Truss said that “we need to look deeper into our stocks, we need to increase production” so that Ukraine receives the necessary heavy weapons, tanks and aircraft.

In addition, according to Truss, the West should help build the defense capabilities of Moldova and Georgia, since Putin could invade these countries as well.

With regard to Russia, according to the head of the British Foreign Office, it is necessary to use all available economic levers to oust the country from Western markets.

Truss also stressed that it is necessary to deprive Putin of the opportunity to declare his victory in Ukraine and “use this war as a catalyst to establish a new world order.”

At the same time, Truss admitted that the war in Ukraine could last “up to five years or even a decade,” and Putin could use weapons of mass destruction in a desperate attempt to break the deadlock.
