It will take 2-3 months to restore each destroyed bridge, but they promise to resume traffic along the Kyiv-Chop highway in a few weeks.
Restoration of destroyed bridges will be started in the Kiev region in the near future. This was stated by the Minister of Infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov.
“According to preliminary calculations, it takes 2-3 months for each bridge,” he said.
At the same time, the Ministry of Infrastructure is working on temporary solutions to resume traffic on the Kyiv-Chop highway. The work is expected to be completed within a few weeks.
“This is important both in terms of the work of enterprises and in ensuring the prompt evacuation of the population from dangerous zones,” Kubrakov noted.
The ministry also plans to resume railway communication from Svyatoshino to Klavdievo in the Kiev region within a month.
In total, five bridges were destroyed in the Kiev region.
