The United States of America has filed a civil suit with the District Court for the Southern District of Florida seeking forfeiture of property associated with Igor Kolomoisky and Gennady Bogolyubov.

According to the US Department of Justice, more than $6 million was raised from the sale of commercial real estate in Dallas, Texas, which was maintained and modernized through the theft and fraud of PrivatBank in Ukraine.

The US Department of Justice noted that the lawsuit is already the fourth in connection with the same probable criminal activity. In particular, in August 2020, the United States had already filed two lawsuits in the Southern District of Florida alleging that commercial real estate in Dallas and Louisville, Kentucky was acquired with funds illegally obtained from PrivatBank as part of a multi-billion dollar fraudulent scheme. In December 2020, the company filed a third lawsuit in the same county, noting that the same scheme was applied to a property in Cleveland, Ohio.
