In January-November 2021, the number of Ukrainians decreased by 380.2 thousand people. As of December 1 last year, 41.208 million people lived in the country. This is evidenced by the data of the State Statistics Service, published on Tuesday, January 18.
It is noted that the number of deaths during the specified period reached 650 thousand people, although in January-November 2020 this figure was lower – 549.2 thousand people.
At the same time, 250.9 thousand children were born, which is 18 thousand less than in the same period in 2020.
The State Statistics Service noted that the number of deaths significantly exceeds the number of births: for 100 deaths, there are only 39 births.
At the same time, 439.9 thousand people arrived in Ukraine in January-November – 40 thousand more than in 11 months of 2020.
At the same time, 421,000 people left the country, which is 29,000 more than in the same period in 2020.
