President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he supports the transfer of interior premises of railway stations into concession.

He stated this in an interview with TV channels as part of the All-Ukrainian forum “Ukraine 30. Economy without Oligarchs”.

“I would transfer all railway stations into concession, it would be very cool, let people earn and receive comfort,” the president said.

Zelensky has added that despite the fact that JSC Ukrzaliznytsia is a strategic enterprise, he does not see a big problem if “cool, big retailers” build shops and cafes at railway stations.

As previously reported, JSC Ukrzaliznytsia announced that it launches the transfer of retail space of 24 railway stations into long-term lease. During the summer months, Ukrzaliznytsia is planning to lease more than 41,500 square meters of 24 railway stations through the ProZorro.Sale system.
