Ukraine introduced new sanctions against Russia

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) to impose personal sanctions against a number of legal entities and individuals. The corresponding decree was published on the website of the head of state on Thursday, January 28.

“To put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated January 28, 2021″ On amendments to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated December 14, 2020, enacted by the decree of the President of Ukraine dated December 14, 2020 No. 564-27t” (added, secretly, without paragraphs 14, 15, 16 – unclassified)”, – says the text of the decree.

Control over the implementation of the NSDC decision was entrusted to his secretary, Alexey Danilov. The decree comes into force on the day of its publication

The sanctions list itself was not published on the website. Moreover, one of the decisions of the NSDC is classified.

At the same time, the Cabinet of Ministers, together with the SBU and the National Bank, must ensure the implementation and monitoring of the effectiveness of new sanctions. And the Foreign Ministry is obliged to inform partners from the EU, the United States and other states about the imposition of sanctions and raise before them the question of the application of similar restrictive measures.
